Tournament Set - up / Gameplay / Scoring:

Set-up:

• Teams play 4 rounds of ‘Rounders’ to determine which tournament bracket they will play in.
  • Top 50% of teams will be placed in the "competitive division" bracket – bottom 50% in a "social division" bracket.

• Once teams are placed, a double-elimination bracket will be randomized for each division.

• 100% tournament entry fee payout to both social and competitive divisions (top 3 teams paid).

Gameplay

• Boards are 48" x 24" and will be placed 27' apart.
• Each team will consist of 2 people.
• Each match will be decided with 1 game (there will be no best of 3).

Scoring

• NO BUST RULES (First team to 21+ wins).
• 1 Point for bag on board and 3 points for a bag in the hole.
• Point cancellation rules apply.
• Each match will be decided with 1 game (there will be no best of 3).

Entry Fee Payment

Entry fee payment will be collected IN CASH at registration on the day of the event, March 23, 2024

Registration Date & Time

Tournament registration will open on Saturday, March 23rd from 9 - 11am at the Scherr-Howe Event Center in Mobridge, SD. Tournament play will begin shortly after registration closes.

Waiver, Release And Hold Harmless Agreement

In consideration of permission granted by the Mobridge Area Chamber of Commerce allowing me to participate in the I Hate Winter Cornhole Tournament (the "Activity"), which will occur on March 23, 2024 which is sponsored by the Mobridge Area Chamber of Commerce, I represent, covenant and agree, on behalf of myself and my heirs, assigns, and any other person claiming by, under or through me, as follows:

1. I acknowledge that participating in the Activity involves certain risks (some of which I may not fully appreciate) and that injuries, death, property damage or other harm could occur to me or others. I accept and voluntarily incur all risks of any injuries, damages, or harm which arise during or result from my participation in the Activity, regardless of whether or not caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other fault of Purdue University, The Trustees of the Mobridge Area Chamber of Commerce, and/or its or their departments, trustees, affiliates, employees, officers, agents or insurers ("Released Parties").

2. I waive all claims against any of the Released Parties for any injuries, damages, losses or claims, whether known and unknown, which arise during or result from my participation in the Activity, regardless of whether or not caused in whole or part by the negligence or other fault of any of the Released Parties. I release and forever discharge the Released Parties from all such claims.

3. I agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from all losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses (including but not limited to reasonable attorneys' fees and other litigation costs and expenses) incurred by any of the Released Parties as a result of any claims or suits that I (or anyone claiming by, under or through me) may bring against any of the Released Parties to recover any losses, liabilities, costs, damages, or expenses which arise during or result from my participation in the Activity, regardless of whether or not caused in whole or part by the negligence or other fault of any of the Released Parties.

4. If I cause any damage or destruction to any property which does not belong to me, I agree to fully cover any costs associated to the repair or replacement of the damaged or destroyed item.
